“Releasing creativity into our communities”

We are 3rd generation artists. Our Mom encourages us to be creative and use our imagination to dream big. Together we have a huge heart to inspire others to follow their passion. Painting came natural to us, watching mom paint huge mural, she was not afraid to had us a brush. We started painting at age 2. Anna was the first to start painting, she is almost three years older, she had a head start. Live art has been familiar to us from a young. Our mom was the first live painter at Bethel church in Redding ca. She was asked to painting durning the entire service and we would help her, by bring clean water and paper towels. She even let us paint on the paintings with her. It became a normal thing to see live art in church, Anna and I felt the urge to share this live art experience with people outside the church. We knew all needed to see our way of worship. We have two brothers and two sisters (six siblings total) and we are all artistic and creative in many ways. Anna and I love painting in each other’s company, both having our own set up, canvas, paint and easel. The first time we painted on the same piece was in 2012 at the California Roots Summer Mix Up. The painting was huge 96”x120” naming our first masterpiece painted together “Mt. Zion.” Music has always been a part of our painting process and going to live shows our life style. In 2005 the 3 Sisters (Evangela, Anna and Elizabeth) starting going to shows, we would bring paintings we had painted inspired by the band we went to see of each night. It gave us a great way to meet the band members thank them for their inspiration and we would give them the artwork. Becoming good friends with a lot of bands we would share our passion to “Paint Live” during their set, combining music and art. Kyle from Slightly Stoopid told us to bring our easel and was totally on board. He has always been a huge advocate for live painting. October 2020 will be our 11th year attending California Roots Music and Arts Festival. Painting Live at CaliRoots has been life changing. Every year we get awesome feedback from festival goers on how we inspire them to pick up a brush again or to create a better bond with their siblings. First year of CaliRoots the 3 Sisters were the Active Artists, painting along side the Original Stage with Matt Masih & the Messengers, Thrive, Tribal Seeds and many more. Matt Masih, lead vocals, a good friend, is the person whom first connected us with Jeff of CaliRoots.7 and 8 answerd together. Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Cold Play, Amanda Cook, Hillsong United to name a few. We are influenced by so many bands. Mainly music with a positive message. Some of our biggest live painting advocates have been, Rebelution, Stick Figure, Hirie, Collie Buddz, Common Kings, Tribal Seeds, The Green, Jurassic 5, Iration, Ozomatli, New Kingston, Matisyahu & the Dub Trio. In 2013 we were a part of the Good Vibes tour with Rebelution (our first tour) and had the life changing opportunity to paint live at Red Rocks on stage. Touring 2013-2014 was the first time live painters had ever toured with bands to connect music and art as one. The Haven Arts crew & CaliRoots teamed up to create a workshop people could join at CaliRoots to experience what its like to paint live. 2020 will be our fourth year teaching the Live Art Workshop. We love to paint big. When we do our live painting performances we try and keep is on the smaller side. We have painted several murals at CaliRoots and many more for businesses around the country. Our favorite mural painted, so far, goes to the 15’x50’ “Phoenix Warrior Angle” painted for the amazing crew at the Phoenix Club House in Phoenix OR. Ezekiel (will be 3 years old in June) loves to paint with us, just as our mom let us paint with her, Ezekiel paints with us. He enjoys festivals and absolutely loves live music. Unfortunately many festivals have been canceled or postponed. That wont stop us from painting works or art and creating thousands of Monarch Migration butterfly earrings. Elizabeth’s second master piece is in the works, expecting Maria Victoria’s arrival in late August. Anna is hard at work to become a Life Coach, completing a few courses and trainings. We could not have gotten this far without the support of managers, photographers, family friends and fans. Special Thanks too our tour manager, number one live art advocate, best friend and sister Evangela.
